What is Aging-In-Place?

Aging-In-Place means being able to remain in one’s home safely, independently, and comfortably regardless of age, income, or ability level.

It means being able to call your house a “home” for a lifetime.

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), in collaboration with AARP and other experts, developed the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation, which is achieved through training and testing during a multi-course educational program.

As a Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist, we can:

1.  Help identify solutions to your needs.

2.  Plan ahead so your home is accessible and livable long into the future.

3.  Enhance your home’s value through remodeling or new construction.
